About this collection

This collection contains some of Kean University's historic newspapers published throughout the past eighty years. The earliest of these publications were created during the late 1920's, when Kean was known as the State Normal School at Newark. During that period, the newspaper was named the "Reflector." As the school itself changed names, so did the paper, as during its lengthy tenure, it was also named the "Independent", while today we know it as "The Tower." (Note: not all years are represented.)
